Debbage and Debbage publish in Annals of Tourism Research

Dr. Debbage and his son, Neil Debbage, Assistant Professor of Geography at the University of Texas at San Antonio recently published in the flagship journal Annals of Tourism Research (5-year Impact Factor: 6.6).  The article was titled “Aviation Carbon Emissions, Route Choice and Tourist Destinations: Are Non-Stop Routes a Remedy?  (https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0160738319301227). Dr. Debbage recently presented the findings to the European Tourism Research Institute in Sweden.  The research has already attracted significant media attention including featuring in a recent story in USTA Today (https://www.utsa.edu/today/2019/10/story/carbon-emissions.html) and on Science Daily, Eureka Alert and as the Editors Choice on the Weather Network (https://www.theweathernetwork.com/ca/news/article/carbon-emissions-soar-as-u-s-tourism-increases).
