“You Can’t Cook the Food If You Don’t Have the Water": Embodied Ecologies of Resource Insecurities

Dr. Cassie Workman, Associate Professor & Director of the Health, Medicine, and Society Program at UNCG

By tracing the pathways through which resource inequities are created and maintained, she contends with the assumptions inherent in the definition and measurement of “insecurities.” Integrating social sciences into transdisciplinary approaches, she critically engages presumably intractable “wicked water problems” and the social and environmental terrains that shape them.
