Dr. Wenliang “Will” Li is one of six recipients of the American Association of Geographers 2021 Research Grants. This award grant is awarded to support the proposed research project “Integrated assessments of climate change and human activities on building energy use”.
This project will take Manhattan, New York City as a study area to predict future building energy use under different climate change scenarios developed by the IPCC. In addition, social media data will be collected from major social networks, such as Twitter, Facebook, and Foursquare to explore the potential impact of human activities on building energy consumption.
