Congratulations to PhD student Tyler Mitchell and 2008 alumnus, Jason Ortegren for their publication in the journal, Climate Research (78:249–259, doi.org/10.3354/cr01573). The paper, “Tropical cyclone frequency inferred from intra-annual density fluctuations in longleaf pine in Florida, USA,” originated from Tyler’s thesis, which he completed in May 2019.
