The Department of Geography had a very strong showing at the annual meeting of the American Association of Geographers in Boston, April 5-9, 2017. Eleven M.A. and Ph.D. graduate students attended, and many of those presented papers or posters. Next year’s meeting is in New Orleans!

Dr. Paul Knapp, Professor and Director of the Carolina Tree-Ring Science Lab, was recently awarded a three year, $300,000 National Science Foundation grant.
