Dr. Praskievicz receives two major grants

Dr. Sarah Praskievicz, associate professor of geography, has recently been awarded two major research grants to support her cutting-edge work on geospatial modeling of debris in river systems in the U.S.

Dr. Roy Stine retires after more than 25 years of service to GES

He retires as associate professor of geography after a career in which he was instrumental in shaping the current array of programs as director of several internship programs, director of graduate studies, and key member of the interdisciplinary Archaeology Program.

Nichole Bignall receives high honor from the AAG

Nichole Bignall, a 4th year Ph.D. student in GES working with Dr. Keith Debbage, has been selected to receive the 2021 AAG-Kauffman Award for Best Student Paper in Geography & Entrepreneurship.

GES extends Graduate Application Deadlines to June 15, 2020
