Focusing on the interconnectedness of social equity, the environment, the economy, and aesthetics, the customizable M.S. in Sustainability & Environment (MSSE) is designed for professionals pursuing sustainability in any field. It requires a flexible selection of 36 credit hours, is delivered asynchronously online, and includes the option to do either an internship, capstone, or thesis.
Prospective students should consult the UNCG Catalog and read our F.A.Q., which provides advice for successful applications and further information about the MSSE. Current students come from a variety of educational and professional backgrounds and are encouraged to pursue their individual interests in sustainability.
We also offer several graduate certificates, from Conservation and Digital Earth Technologies to Climate Justice and Environmental Humanities. Many certificates provide efficient and effective stepping stones to the MSSE.
