Coastal Geomorphology, Machine Learning and Geomorphology, Coupled Human-Landscape Systems, Open Science
Ph.D., Duke University
Dr. Goldstein’s research focuses on geomorphology and human-landscape interactions in the coastal zone. His recent work centers on the use of machine learning to study coastal geomorphology, studying developed coastal areas during and after storm events, and the dynamics of coastal dunes. He is an advocate for open science practices, specifically preprinting and open data. He is grateful to have an office number (233) that is also a Fibonacci prime.
