Former PhD student, Arwa Altaher and current PhD student, Joyce Clapp jointly published a peer-reviewed journal article paper in Geographical Review. Their paper investigated the diversity of immigrant populations and their spatial residential patterns in the Atlanta Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) during the year of 2008-2012. They found that immigrants have different patterns of settlement depending on their place of birth and region of origin.
