Nichole Bignall receives high honor from the AAG

Nichole Bignall, a 4th year Ph.D. student in GES working with Dr. Keith Debbage, has been selected to receive the 2021 AAG-Kauffman Award for Best Student Paper in Geography & Entrepreneurship. The award “identifies innovative research in business, applied or community geography that is relevant to questions related to entrepreneurs and their firms as well as to practitioners and policymakers.” Nichole will present her paper, “Self-Employment by US County: Key Predictors, “in a virtual session highlighting geography and entrepreneurship at the AAG Annual Meeting on Thursday, April 9, 2020. In the same session, her adviser Dr. Debbage will be presenting his paper, which won the same award at the faculty level last year. Congratulations to Nichole!
