Beginning in the fall of 2019, UNCG will offer two new sustainability degrees at the graduate level. Students in the M.A. in Applied Geography will have the option of a concentration in sustainability. And students in any graduate degree program or who are considering a graduate degree will be able to pursue a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Sustainability. Both programs involve a core of sustainability courses offered in the Department of Geography, Environment, and Sustainability together with a number of electives that may come from other departments. In addition to the core seminar in sustainability, other classes include topics in environmental sciences, equity and justice, economics and development, and aesthetics and ethics.
